Remove/install

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Lift engine with engine support frame


Ensure that no cables or lines are damaged when lifting the engine
and that the engine does not make contact with the partition.

 To remove the oil pan, there must be sufficient distance between the front axle carrier and the engine.

Unclip and disconnect connector of the O2 sensor downstream of the catalytic converter (G3/1x1) from the bracket

 Unclip electrical line from brackets (1) on oil pan (2).

Detach plug from oil sensor (B40)

Detach oil line (3) of the oil pan power steering system (2); to do this, remove screws (4)

Detach oil lines (5, 6) of automatic transmission from oil pan (2); to do this, unscrew screw/bolts (7)

Unclip cover (8) from brackets and remove oil pan (2)

Unscrew bracket (9) of the connector of the O2 sensor upstream of the catalytic converter (G3/2x1)

Detach oil lines (5, 6) of automatic transmission from automatic transmission; to do this, remove screws (10)

Detach oil pan from the cylinder crankcase; to do this, remove screws (11, 12)
