Remove cover of TDC inspection hole at timing case

Attach cranking device (7) to timing case

Installation:The cranking device must be removed before starting the engine.

Remove nozzle holder combination

Pull stuck sealing sleeve out of cylinder head.

Position piston of cylinder to be inspected to BDC

Rotate crankshaft with cranking device (7)

Connect flexible inspection light (1) to cylinder inspection light (2)

For connecting, refer to manufacturer's operating instructions.

Use flexible inspection light Ø 8.5 mm

The flexible inspection light must not rest against or bump against, otherwise the cone point is damaged.

Insert flexible inspection light (1) through the protective sleeve hole into the cylinder

Ambient temperature 80 °C

The flexible inspection light must not rest against or bump against, otherwise the cone point is damaged.

Check condition of cylinder contact surface, piston crown, clearance volume and valves at cylinder head

Replace damaged parts.
