Remove/install

Remove spark plugs.

Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter.

Turn engine at center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation until the piston of the cylinder to be checked is at bottom dead center (BDC).

Connect endoscope (1) and insert flexible endoscope through the spark plug bore into the cylinder to be checked.

Check cylinder barrels.

If there is 'scoring' (wear to the cylinder), the cylinder barrel has become rough and honing marks are no longer visible.

If the condition of the cylinder barrels is not clearly recognizable,

Remove cylinder head.
