Remove

Remove all fuel injectors.

Check

Set piston of cylinder 1 to top dead center.

The crankshaft may be turned only in the direction of engine rotation.
The timing chain can skip otherwise and cause engine damage.

 Cylinders 2 and 3 are checked in this position.

Connect light projector (1) and insert flexible endoscope (2) through fuel injector bore into cylinder 2. 



Check cylinder barrel of cylinder 2 for scoring.

Perform check for cylinder 3 in same manner.

Continue turning crankshaft of engine by 180°.

Insert flexible endoscope (2) through fuel injector bore into cylinder 1. 


