Position piston of cylinder to be inspected to BDC

Crank engine at crankshaft in direction of rotation of the engine (clockwise).

Connect cylinder inspection light (2.1) to test probe (2.2)

Insert test probe (2.2) into the injector hole of the cylinder to be checked

Inspect cylinder walls

Distinguish between "visual streaks" and "scoring".

In cases of doubt:

Remove cylinder head.
