Turn the crankshaft with the turning/locking device

Position the cylinder piston to be checked at PMI.

Connect the cylinder inspection equipment (2) and insert the inspection probe (1) in the cylinder, through the protective sleeve hole

Connect the inspection light (2), see the operating manual supplied by the manufacturer.

Inspect cylinder barrel and the piston crown

Notes for assessing wear to cylinder wall in the case of dust damage

Inspect the condition of the piston crown, and the cylinder barrels must not have any carbonized scores and friction scratches:

If there is any carbonized scores and friction scratches, you must remove the cylinder head and carry out the repair.
