Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Preparatory activity

Lift vehicle with lifting platform.



Park vehicle on a horizontal surface.
Otherwise the rear axle differential (1) will not be filled correctly and an incorrect oil filling capacity will lead to fluid loss and damage.



Clean

Clean area surrounding drain screw with permanent magnet (1a) and filling screw (1e).



Remove

Unscrew filling screw (1e).

Drain off

4

Remove drain screw with permanent magnet (1a) and drain transmission oil from rear axle differential (1).



Clean

5

Clean drain bore in rear axle differential (1).

Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray

Install

Screw new drain screw with permanent magnet (1a) into rear axle differential (1).


Replace drain screw with permanent magnet (1a) each time it is removed.
Otherwise, this may lead to fluid loss and consequential damage.

Pour in

Add transmission oil to rear axle differential (1) up to lower edge of filling hole.


Only approved transmission oils as per "SAE 75W­140 Limited Slip" may be used.
Damage can otherwise occur.

Clean

8

Clean filling hole in rear axle differential (1).

Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray

Install

9

Screw new filling screw (1e) into rear axle differential (1).


Replace filling screw (1e) each time it is removed.
Otherwise, this may lead to fluid loss and consequential damage.
