2 | Switch off water heater (1) and ignition | See Operating Instructions | |
3 | Close coolant shutoff valve (2) | ||

Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. | |
4 | Unscrew bolt (3) | ||
5 | Unscrew cover (4) | Collect feathering-out coolant (approx. 1.5 liters). | |
| Cleaning | ||
6 | Take out filter element and clean | Rinse filter element under running water. | |
| Testing | ||
7 | Check filter element for damage, replace if necessary. | ||
| Install | ||
8 | Screw in cover (4) | Slightly grease O-ring. | |
9 | Screw in screw (3) | Install new gasket. | |
10 | Open coolant shutoff valve (2) | Check coolant filter housing (5) for leaks. | |
11 | Correct engine coolant level in coolant expansion tank |
