Remove

Remove top guide rail (1) from the respective sliding door.



 The top guide rail (1) is no longer required and must be handed over to the customer or disposed of properly following consultation with the customer.



Install

Attach new top guide rail (1) to the respective sliding door.

 To do this, position the top guide rail (1) on the first and last bolt (5) with two nuts.

Retrofit sliding door intermediate detent (3) on the respective side of the vehicle.

 Model 907.6.7 with code L65 (additional dome lamps with load compartment/passenger compartment door contact)
Fasten sliding door intermediate detent (3) with a nut (2).

 Model 907.6.7 except code L65 (additional dome lamps with load compartment/passenger compartment door contact)
Fasten sliding door intermediate detent (3) with nuts (2).

Install dome lamp (4).

Model 907.6.7 with code L65 (additional dome lamps with load compartment/passenger compartment door contact)

 To do this, position dome lamp (4) on the bolts (5) of the new top guide rail (1).

 Position nuts (2) on the bolts (5) of the new top guide rail (1) and tighten.

Install new top guide rail (1) completely.



Install new cover on the sliding door intermediate detent (3).

Model 907.6 with code T16 (Right sliding door)

Enter special equipment into online vehicle data card.

 Designation of the affected special equipment: Code T12 (load compartment sliding door/s intermediate detent).

 Attach note "Sliding door catch retrofitted as per AN72.16-D-0002TS" under field organization texts to KG72.



Check

Perform function test of the sliding door intermediate detent (3).

 To do this, open and close sliding door and check whether the sliding door engages in the sliding door intermediate detent (3) in the process.

If, during opening and closing, the sliding door does not engage in the sliding door intermediate detent (3),



check that the sliding door intermediate detent (3) is correctly seated.
