Connecting electrical auxiliary consumers to the fuse of the FMR can deactivate the FMR system (possibly only when driving) in the event of a short circuit or overload.

Troubleshooting is designed for testing with the HHT. The test steps can also be used without HHT, however, on vehicles with FDS.

Cables, plug connections and fuses are also covered in the following tests.

The test program which follows can only be applied with certain restrictions if modifications / manipulations or non-professional repairs have been performed by third parties (e.g. driver, customer).

It is not possible to erase any fault codes when engine is running.

Troubleshooting is designed for testing with the HHT. The test steps can also be used without HHT, however, on vehicles with FDS.

Fault codes cannot be read on vehicles with FDS if the FDS display remains blank:

Test fuse F3 at fuse carrier A3 and also ground connection of display.

If it is not possible to read fault codes (HHT) in the case of faults, test FMR diagnostic cable and ASR signal line for open circuit and short to ground.
