The flame starting system does not operate if the engine is started before the flame starting system indicates that the lamp goes out or if the charge indicator lamp comes on when the engine is running.

The flame starting system can only be operated if the coolant temperature is below 11 °C. If the coolant temperature is above 19 °C, a lower temperature can be simulated with the Ohm decade (470 Ω).

Connecting of Ohm decade:

- Air intake hose detached.

- Connector of temperature switch unplugged.

- Connect Ohm decade to connector to temperature switch.
