 	Remove/install
1	Shift gear into "N" position
2	Release parking brake
3	Remove ground line at battery		AR54.10-S-0003E
4	Remove engine cross member at rear	Model 447, 448 with engine 274 Model 447 with engine 651 except code ZG2 (Permanent all-wheel drive)	AR22.10-S-1170E
		Model 447 with engine 651 with code ZG2 (Permanent all-wheel drive)	AR22.10-S-1170EA
		 Do not remove transmission support fixture.
5	Lower transmission slightly
6	Disconnect electrical connector of intelligent servo module (ISM) control unit for DIRECT SELECT (A80)
7	Remove bolt (1)	 Standard bolt/hexagon-spacer bolt, shift module (ISM) to transmission housing	*BA27.40-N-1014-01I
8	Remove intelligent servo module (ISM) control unit for DIRECT SELECT (A80) with vent hose (2)
9	Turn range selector shaft (3) of transmission counterclockwise all the way to position "D" (arrow)	 Assembly tool	*722589030900
10	Install in the reverse order
	Check
11	Check sealing ring of range selector shaft (3)	Depending on findings
		
		Replace sealing ring of range selector shaft (3)
		Remove/install shift shaft radial shaft sealing ring	AR27.40-S-0220E
12	Read out fault memory with diagnostic system and perform initial startup of intelligent servo module (ISM) control unit for DIRECT SELECT (A80)
