Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Place vehicle on a horizontal surface

Clean area around oil dipstick (1)

Extreme cleanliness must be ensured whenever work is carried out on an automatic transmission. Dirt in the oil circuit can cause malfunctions and damage to the transmission parts.

Start engine and allow to run for about 1 minute at a higher rotational speed (1000 to 1500 rpm) in the stand

For idle speed select gear selector position D and R one after the other

Selection of gear selector positions causes distribution of transmission oil in the transmission oil ducts.

Select gear selector position N and allow engine to continue to run in idle

Detach oil dipstick (1), pull out and clean

To detach oil dipstick, turn handle to the left.

Inspect transmission oil level

The transmission oil must stand on the oil dipstick (1) within the COLD ADD and

COLD FULL marking.

A lack of transmission oil or excessive amounts of transmission oil can lead to malfunctions and damage to transmission parts on for an automatic transmission.

Transmission oil level too low:

Top up missing transmission oil via the oil measurement and oil filler pipe (2).

Check transmission oil level again

Only if the transmission oil level has changed.

Stop engine, introduce oil dipstick and secure

To secure dipstick, turn handle to the right
