Das Steuergerät Automatische Kupplung (N15/4) bestimmt in Abhängigkeit von Motordrehzahl, Motordrehmoment, Fahrzeuggeschwindigkeit und eingelegtem Gang das zu übertragende Kupplungsmoment.

Entsprechend diesem definierten Kupplungsmoment wird die Kupplung über die Verbindungselemente (zentrale Steuereinheit, hydraulische Verbindungsleitung und hydraulischer Zentralausrücker) betätigt.
