Assure vehicle against unintentional move. Utilize tight fitting and closed work clothes. Do not touch heated or running parts.

Slacken the safety nuts (3) on Pitman arm (1) and the safety nuts (5) on the steering lever (4)

Do not remove the nut in this operation because the steering bar will unfasten together with the puller, causing injuries.

Pull the steering rod (2) from the Pitman arm (1)

The steering bar unfastens suddenly.

Utilize an appropriate puller

Remove the steering rod (2) from the steering arm (4)

Remove the safety nuts (3, 6) and the steering rod (2)

Installing

Install in reverse order

At assembly, replace the safety nuts.
