Adjust the pedal auxiliary spring length

The adjustment of the pedal rod clearance must be carried out with the support assembled in the vehicle, however, before the definitive adjustment, two operations must be carried out, because if they are done later, they alter the adjustment. Carry out in sequence:

Adjust the length of the auxiliary pedal spring on the workbench. It is also possible to adjust it with the pedal support installed in the vehicle.

Bleed the clutch actuation system before the definitive adjustment of the master cylinder rod

Must be carried out after the spring length adjustment.

Hold with an adequate wrench the eccentric bushing (7) and unfasten slightly the articulation axle (6)

Hold the articulation shaft (6) and turn the eccentric adjusting bushing (7) until attaining clearance “B” of the rod (2) in the hydraulic emitter cylinder (1) . At this point, fasten the articulation shaft (6)

The now existing clearance between the rod and the cylinder, must be minimum and must be noticed by displacing the rod (2) with the fingertips in both sides.

Actuate many times the brake pedal and check the “B” clearance between the rod (2) and the cylinder (1)

Once the pedal (3) is adjusted, when actuated manually, a slight clearance between it and its stopper (4) must exist, corresponding to approximately 0.30mm.
