Do not enter and do not allow others to enter the area below the cab while it is tilting in either direction. Always tilt the cab to its final position and lock the cab by means of the safety device.

Remove antinoise encapsulation from chassis frame, upper right side

It is forbidden to smoke, set fire, sparks or open flame. Only store fuel in appropriate and respectively identified containers. When handling fuel wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment.

Remove fuel hoses and electric wiring from flame system for cold engine start

Only in vehicles with Code (M89) flame system for cold engine start (FLA). Collect drained fuel.

Remove turbocharger air hose, black (3) from charge air tube (1)

Remove compressor (6) air intake hose from charge air tube (1)

Only in vehicles with Code (MS4) BlueTec 4 or with Code (MS5) BlueTec 5.

Remove screws (10, 11)

Engine 924.9,

Loosen screw (5)

Engine 926.9,

Unfasten wiring harness (2) from charge air tube bracket (1)

Remove turbocharger tube (1)

Close charge air collector (9) opening.

Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace O-ring (7).

Install in reverse order
