1	Remove quantity control valve (Y642) of fuel system high pressure pump

2	Check quantity control valve (Y642) for dirt	 Compare the appearance of the quantity control valve (Y642) with figures 1 and 2 (A and B).
		If the quantity control valve (Y642) as a rust-brown covering like that shown in figure 2 (B):
		
		Continue with operation step 3.
		If the quantity control valve (Y642) looks like figure 1 (A):
		
		Reinstall quantity control valve (Y642); no further action is necessary.
