We would hereby like to notify you that a TIPS case must be created in the case of insufficient cooling capacity or function failure of the air conditioning system.
In order to coordinate further measures, please perform the following test steps first.
Document noticeable problems as a picture or video and attach to the TIPS case.
Do not dispose of defective component parts! These are required for inspection in the development.
1 Unscrew plugs from filler connections and observe whether a slight pressure is released when unscrewing the covers.
Then perform the following test:
Check filler connections visually for oil pollution.
Check filler connections for leakages with leakage detection spray.
Clean filler connections after the test and completely eliminate leak detection spray.
2 Check area surrounding refrigerant compressor for oil pollution and traces of drips.
Check the area of the belt pulley in particular.
3 Check separating points and connections in the refrigerant circuit of the air conditioning system visually for leakages.
Check all refrigerant hoses, refrigerant lines and their connections as well.
4 Connect air conditioning service unit to corresponding filler connections.
When operating the air conditioning service unit, proceed in accordance with the operator's manual from the manufacturer.
5 Evacuate air conditioning system and attach printout of the extracted refrigerant quantity to TIPS case.
6 Connect leak tester and pressurize air conditioning system to 5 bar with forming gas.
Leave air conditioning system pressurized for 6 h under a constant ambient temperature.
Remove connections of leak tester from filler connections after the filling process.
So that the filler connections are included in the leak test.
7 Check whether the pressure in the air conditioning system has fallen after 6 h.
Fill hoses of leak tester before connecting to the filler connections.
So that there is no pressure drop due to the empty hoses.
Pressure drop detectable: Localize leakage with gas detection unit, document as a picture or video and attach to the TIPS case.
No pressure drop detectable: Perform next test step.
8 Pressurize air conditioning system with leak tester to 15 bar pressure with forming gas.
Leave air conditioning system pressurized for 15 h under a constant ambient temperature.
Remove connections of leak tester from filler connections after the filling process.
So that the filler connections are included in the leak test.
9 Check whether the pressure in the air conditioning system has fallen after 15 h.
Fill hoses of leak tester before connecting to the filler connections.
So that there is no pressure drop due to the empty hoses.
Pressure drop detectable: Localize leakage with gas detection unit, document as a picture or video and attach to the TIPS case.
No pressure drop detectable: Drain forming gas from leak tester and fill air conditioning system.
