Function

Activate NR/ENR operating unit and raise or lower the vehicle frame

1 Basic condition:

Ignition "on"

2 Activate the NR/ENR operating unit (S50) by pressing the raise/lower front and/or rear On/Off key (3 and/or 4).

3 The raise/lower front and/or rear indicator lamp (1 and/or 2) lights up to indicate that operating unit is ready.

If the vehicle is equipped with full air suspension, the vehicle frame can be raised or lowered separately at the front and rear by pressing the appropriate key (3 or 4). If the driver presses both keys, the front and rear of the vehicle frame can be raised or lowered simultaneously. If the vehicle is not equipped with full air suspension, the raise/lower front key and indicator lamp (1 and 3) do not operate.

4 Change the height of the vehicle frame using the raise and lower key (8 or 9).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The vehicle frame can only be raised or lowered using keys (8 or 9) if the vehicle speed is < 30 km/h.

5 The NR/ENR or WR control unit (A14.1 or A14.2) receives signals from the NR/ENR operating unit and actuates the NR/ENR valve block (Y27/Y28) at the driven axle and/or the NR/ENR solenoid valve (Y26) at the front axle.

6 The valve block and/or the solenoid valve pressurize or vent the air bellows at the driven axle and/or front axle according to the command from the control unit. The vehicle frame is raised or lowered.

7 The "vehicle frame above or below normal level" indicator (11.1 or 11.2) lights up in the NR/ENR display field (11).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8 The position sensors (B52 and B53) at the driven axle and/or the position sensor (B51) at the front axle monitor the changes in the frame height for the control unit (A14.1).

The control unit interrupts the raising or lowing process as soon as the signals from the position sensors indicate that the upper or lower frame height limit of the vehicle frame has been reached. The vehicle frame then remains in the maximum upper or lower frame position.

Raise or lower the vehicle frame using the stop key

1 The driver can press the stop key (10) to end the raising or lowering procedure immediately in all frame positions.

2 When the driver presses the stop key the control unit (A14.1) deactivates the NR/ENR valve block (Y27/Y28) at the driven axle and/or the NR/ENR solenoid valve (Y26) at the front axle. The air bellows are no longer pressurized or vented.

3 The control unit adopts the current frame height as the specified level with a delay of 4 seconds.

The stop function is available at all vehicle speeds.

Deactivate the NR/ENR operating unit by returning to the normal level (driving position)

1 The vehicle frame is set to any height.

2 The NR/ENR operating unit is deactivated if the driver presses the driving position key (7). The raise/lower front and/or rear indicator lamp (1 and/or 2) extinguishes on the NR/ENR operating unit (S50).

3 The control unit (A14.1) actuates the NR/ENR valve block (Y27/Y28) at the driven axle and/or the NR/ENR solenoid valve (Y26) at the front axle so that they either pressurize or vent the air bellows depending on the position of the vehicle frame.

4 The vehicle frame is raised or lowered to the normal level (starting position).

5 The position sensors (B52 and B53) at the driven axle and/or the position sensor (B51) at the front axle monitor the position of the vehicle frame.

6 The control unit (A14.1) deactivates the NR/ENR valve block (Y27/Y28) and/or the NR/ENR (Y26) solenoid valve as soon as it receives signals from the position sensors indicating that the normal vehicle level as been reached .

7 The "vehicle frame above or below normal level" (11.1 or 11.2) indicator in the NR/ENR display field (11) extinguishes.
