M16/6s2 Idle speed contact switch (up to 8/96)
M16/6m1 Actuator motor
Idle speed contact switch (M16/6s2) (up to 8/96)
Supplies the HFM-SFI control module (N3/4) with the information of whether adjusting lever (1) operated or not operated and also serves to activate various idle speed and ignition maps.
Throttle valve actual value potentiometer (M16/6r1)
Supplies the HFM-SFI control module (N3/4) with the information regarding the position of the throttle valve (3) (idle speed up to full throttle) in order to recognize the various engine load states.
Drive actual value potentiometer (M16/6r2)
Supplies the HFM-SFI control module (N3/4) with the position of the drive shaft (8) (idle speed control range 0° up to 10° opening angle) so that the drive shaft is moved into a defined position during the inertia fuel shutoff phase in order to limit the intake manifold vacuum.
Ignition "OFF"
The position of the throttle valve is determined by the spring capsule (5) in the de-energized state.
Ignition "ON"
When the ignition is switched on, the actuator motor (M16/6m1) is operated by the HFM-SFI control module (N3/4). The throttle valve (3) adopts a position depending on the coolant temperature.
Idle speed
The actuator motor (M16/6m1) controls engine speed when idling by opening the throttle valve further (greater mixture) or closing it further (reduced mixture), depending on coolant temperature and engine load.
Driving (part/full throttle)
When driving (part/full throttle), the position of the throttle valve is controlled by the adjusting lever (1) which is connected to the accelerator pedal by the bowden cable. The actuator motor (M16/6m1) does not perform any function in part/full throttle operation.
