Valves, location | |||
System pressure valve (1), task/function | Determines the general pressure level in the control system. It supplies the clutches as a priority (when the system pressure is reached). The cooling or lubricating oil then goes to the converter. Outside of the shift, the system pressure is switched between two levels depending on the turbine torque.
Pressure reducing valve (2), task/function | It reduces the system pressure which is applied to the downstream solenoid valves and electric pressure control valves (EDS). Consequently smaller solenoid valves can be used. The electric pressure control valves require a constant supply pressure.
Clutch valves, task/function Clutch valve B (3.1) Clutch valve C (3.2) Clutch valve D (3.3) Clutch valve F. (3.4) | In principle they are the follower valves of the respective electric pressure control valves (EDS). They are required to bring the required volume flow to the appropriate clutch. In addition, gear-dependent pressure transmission takes place via them.
Clutch valve (KV-E) (4), task/function | Basically the same versions apply here as for the other clutch valves. The clutch valve (KV-E) also has the additional task of pressure limiting for clutch E.
Holding valves, task/function Holding valve B (5.1) Holding valve C (5.2) Holding valve D (5.3) Holding valve F (5.4) | They ensure that, at a preset electric pressure control valve (EDS) pressure level, the appropriate clutch valves are connected and therefore the clutch pressure increases to system pressure. This allows a better resolution of the control range of the clutch valves.
Holding valve, task/function (Holding valve E) (6) | It ensures that, at a certain electric pressure control valve (EDS) pressure level, the clutch valve E switches the clutch pressure E to the maximum permissible value. In addition, the control range of clutch F is lowered in 2nd gear. Clutch valve C is supplied with system pressure.
Shift valve (7), task/function | By means of the shift valve the function of electric pressure control valve (EDS) 3 is used for the 1-2 shift or the converter lock-up clutch shift.
Safety valve (8), task/function | If there is a power failure while driving clutch C is engaged or held, if it was already engaged, via the safety valve. Together with clutch E this results in 4th gear. When starting again and in ETC emergency mode, pressure is applied to clutch B via the safety valve. Together with clutch E this results in 3rd gear. The safety valve has a self-holding system which is cancelled when starting again and is reactivated by the ETC.
Converter pressure valve (WD-V) (9), task/function | Its task is to supply the converter with cooling oil in the open position. When the torque converter lock-up clutch is closed, the supply line to the converter is interrupted and so depressurizes space between the converter lock-up clutch and converter cover.
Converter lock-up clutch valve (KÜB-V) (10), task/function | In principle it is the follower valve of electric pressure control valve EDS3 when solenoid valve 2 is not energized. It is required to bring the volume flow to the converter lock-up clutch. In addition the required pressure transmission takes place via the converter lock-up clutch valve.
Lubricating valve (11), task/function | It ensures that the converter is supplied with cooling oil first when the delivery volume of the pump is low. In addition it guarantees the required quantity of cooling or lubricating oil via the bypass channel.
Solenoid valve (12), task/function | The hydraulic control module has two 3/2 solenoid valves. 3/2 means 3 connections and 2 positions. They are actuated by the ETC and have a Yes/No function. They serve to switch over valves in the hydraulic control module.
Electric pressure control valve (EDS) (13), task/function | An electric pressure control valve converts electric current into proportional hydraulic pressure. The electric pressure control valves (EDS) are actuated by the ETC. They operate the valves associated with the actuators. |
