The PEC control module integrates the following functions:

The PEC control module essentially analyzes the following information:

– Throttle valve position

Fuel injection system
The fuel is injected by electromagnetic fuel injectors (Y16+Y19 and Y17+Y18), which are actuated by the PEC control module (A13) in groups (cylinders 1+4, 2+3).
The main measured variable for determining the fuel metering is the intake manifold pressure, which is detected by a pressure sensor in the PEC control module (A13).
Ignition system
The high voltage is distributed without any moving parts. This design of system is known as "Rotorless high voltage distribution". The ignition coils (R9, R39) mounted on the cylinder head cover, each supplies two ignition sparks (E83+E86 and E84+E85) with ignition voltage.
Idle speed control
The idle speed is controlled by the idle speed control actuator (M33) operated by the PEC control module, by altering the position of the throttle valve.
