Controlling the quantity injected in all operating conditions

Function

The quantity is controlled separately for each individual cylinder by the CDI control unit (N3/9) in line with the firing order. The CDI control unit (N3/9) receives information from the sensors regarding the current operating state of the engine. The injected quantity can be adapted either by setting the rail pressure through the pressure control valve (Y74) and the quantity control valve (Y94), or by extending or shortening the actuation time of the solenoid valves in the fuel injectors (Y76) accordingly. Synchronization in this case is performed by the CDI control unit (N3/9).
