B4/6 Rail pressure sensor
B11/4 Coolant temperature sensor
Rail pressure sensor position | The rail pressure sensor (B4/6) is screwed in at the front to the rail
Model 220, 211, 163 with Engine 628
Rail pressure sensor task | Passing on the current rail pressure to the control unit.
Rail pressure sensor design | The variable system pressure influences the position of the diaphragm. As a result, its electrical resistance alters, and this change is analyzed.
Rail pressure sensor function | The rail pressure sensor (B4/6) measures the current rail pressure and supplies an appropriate voltage signal to the CDI control unit (N3/9). The pressure regulator valve (Y74) is then actuated by the CDI control unit (N3/9) through a control loop until the desired rail pressure is reached. |
