Operation

The drive of the distributor-type injection pump is connected to the engine oil circuit. The double ball bearing (13/1) of the intermediate flange is supplied with engine oil through the oil feed (A). The oil circuit is closed again through the oil return (B). The injection pump and fuel pump (vane cell pump) are lubricated and cooled with fuel. The oil lubrication is separated from the fuel lubrication by the radial seal (13/2b).
