Purpose

Limitation of full load injection quantity.

Function

The DFI control module (N3/8) receives the required input signals from the components mentioned previously and limits the fuel quantity via the DFI fuel metering actuator (Y23/3k1). This minimizes formation of smoke during acceleration and at constant speed.
