When a FleetBoard® control unit is retrofitted, the telematics must be enabled with the diagnostic system. To this end, the menu specified items in the chronologically listed systems must be selected and the changes that are described must be carried out.

Set menu item "Telematics" to the value "Available" and confirm with the "F3" key
Exit Telematics menu by pressing the "F1" key
Do not update central data memory (ZDS) "F4" key
Confirm with "F2" key
Menu item "Register new control unit"
Menu item "COM communications interface"
Set KOM communications interface parameter to the value "Available" and confirm with the "F3" key
Exit KOM communications interface menu by pressing the "F1" key
Confirm prompt to update central data memory (ZDS) using "F3" key
When a change is made to parameters, the central data memory (ZDS) must always be updated.

Confirm prompt to update central data memory (ZDS) using "F3" key
