Remove seat cushion (2)

When removing seat cushion (2) from driver seat in vehicles without code (873) Seat heater for left and right front seats.

Unfasten seat cushion (2) and place to one side with lines connected

When removing seat cushion (2) from driver seat in vehicles with code (873) Seat heater for left and right front seats.

When removing seat cushion (2) from front passenger seat.

 Ensure that electrical wiring harnesses have unobstructed movement, otherwise risk of damage.

 Expose electrical wiring harnesses until the seat cushion (2) can be adequately raised.

Move front seat far enough forward and up to enable the cover (1) to be removed

Disconnect ground line for on-board electrical system battery (G1)

Unclip cover of belt end fitting at panel (1)

Remove screw/bolt of belt end fitting



Pull off hand wheel (3)

Remove screws/bolts (4)

Unclip inner cover at paneling (1)

Remove screws/bolts (9) of pelvis bag at backrest frame

Unclip paneling (1) (arrows A)

Remove paneling (1) until the electrical connectors of the driver seat partially electric seat adjustment switch (S22/1) or the front passenger seat partially electric seat adjustment switch (S23/1) can be disconnected

In vehicles without code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory or without code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)

 Installation: Ensure that the clips (arrows B) of the paneling (1) on the seat frame (5) are correctly seated.

Remove paneling (1) until the electrical connector of the driver seat lumbar support adjustment switch or the front passenger seat lumbar support adjustment switch can be disconnected

On vehicles with code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory or with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)

 Installation: Ensure that the clips (arrows B) of the paneling (1) on the seat frame (5) are correctly seated.

13.1

Disconnect electrical connectors of driver seat partially electric seat adjustment switch (S22/1) or front passenger seat partially electric seat adjustment switch (S23/1)

Disconnect electrical connector of driver seat lumbar support adjustment switch or front passenger seat lumbar support adjustment switch

Disconnect driver pelvis airbag electrical connector (X173/1) or front passenger pelvis airbag electrical connector (X173/2)

On vehicles with code (291) PELVIS AIRBAG (PELVISBAG).

Remove paneling (1)

Remove pelvis bag

On vehicles with code (291) PELVIS AIRBAG (PELVISBAG) when replacing the paneling (1).
