Remove

Release fuel filler flap (1) from the catch hook (arrow A) and remove from hinge (2.1).

Unclip check strap (3) from the hinge (2.1).

Remove cap (5) from the filler neck for AdBlue®.

Unclip fuel filler cap central locking system actuator (M14/10) from the catch hook (arrow B) and pull out until the electrical connector (6) is accessible.

Disconnect electrical connector (6) and remove fuel filler cap central locking system actuator (M14/10).

Release fender liner (7) in the area of the tank filler recess (2.2).

Detach drain hose (8) from fitting (9).

8.1

Remove rubber plugs (4).

If rubber plugs (4) are installed.

8.2

Drill tank filler recess (1) at the release holes (arrows C, D, E, F) with drill bit with a diameter of 3 mm.

If no rubber plugs (4) are installed.


Do not drill too low.
Otherwise the catch hooks (2.3) behind will be damaged.

Coat sealing of the tank filler recess (2.2) on the filler neck for fuel with lubricant.

Coat sealing of the tank filler recess (2.2) on the filler neck for AdBlue® with lubricant.

Release catch hooks (2.3) behind the release holes (arrows C, D, E, F) with the extraction hook (10) and, at the same time, pull tank filler recess (2.2) out of the fender.

Remove tank filler recess (2.2) from the fender.



Install

Install rubber plugs (4) in the tank filler recess (2.2).

Only when reusing the tank filler recess (2.2).

Coat sealing of the tank filler recess (2.2) in the area of the fuel filler neck with lubricant.

Coat sealing of the tank filler recess (2.2) in the area of the AdBlue® filler neck with lubricant.

Insert tank filler recess (2.2) at the front into the fender.

Pull sealing of the tank filler recess (2.2) over the filler neck for fuel.

Pull sealing of the tank filler recess (2.2) over the filler neck for AdBlue®.

Guide electrical connector (6) through the opening in the tank filler recess (2.2).

Clip tank filler recess (2.2) into the fender.

Connect electrical connector (6) to the fuel filler cap central locking system actuator (M14/10).

Clip fuel filler cap central locking system actuator (M14/10) into the tank filler recess (2.2).

23

Screw cap (5) into the filler neck for AdBlue®.

Clip check strap (3) into the hinge (2.1).

Push fuel filler flap (1) onto the hinge (2.1) and engage.

Push drain hose (8) onto the fitting (9).

Install fender liner (7).
