Unscrew bolts (2) and remove locking striker (3)

Remove left and right hinge bracket trim piece (4)

Loosen left and right hinge bracket trim piece (4) from trunk lid (7)

Adjust

Lift paneling (5) at side on left and right hinge lever and loosen bolts (6)

If trunk lid (7) is to be adjusted longitudinally.

Adjust trunk lid (7) in longitudinal direction

If trunk lid (7) is to be adjusted longitudinally.

Tighten bolts (6) on left and right hinge lever

If trunk lid (7) was adjusted longitudinally.

 Nut/bolt, hinge lever to trunk lid

Screw in stops (8)

When height of trunk lid (7) is adjusted.

Center lock striker (3) in relation to trunk lid lock and adjust so that the height of the trunk lid (7) coincides with the height of the rear fenders

When height of trunk lid (7) is adjusted.

Tighten bolts (2) for locking eye (3)

When height of trunk lid (7) is adjusted.

Coat contact surface on end stops (8) with chalk

When height of trunk lid (7) is adjusted.

Remove end stops (8) until the chalk on the contact surfaces of the rear center section and the two rear fenders is visible when the trunk lid (7) is closed

When height of trunk lid (7) is adjusted.

 Do not slam trunk lid (7), instead, push slowly into lock by hand.



Install

Repair paint damage on bolts (6) with touch-up paint pen

If trunk lid (7) was adjusted longitudinally.

Install left and right hinge lever trim piece (4)
