2 | Mark installation position of engine hood lock top section (2) in relation to engine hood (1) | ||
3 | Unscrew bolts (3) | ||
4 | Remove engine hood lock top section (2) | ||
5 | Unclip engine hood control cable (6) from engine hood lock top section (4) and unhook | ||
6 | Mark installation position of engine hood lock bottom section (4) in relation to upper frame cross member | ||
7 | Unscrew bolts (5) | ||
8 | Remove engine hood lock bottom section (4) | ||
| Install | ||
9 | Insert engine hood lock bottom section (4) | Align engine hood lock bottom section (4) in relation to marked upper frame cross member | |
10 | Screw tight bolts (5) | ||
11 | Hook engine hood control cable (4) into engine hood lock bottom section (4) | ||
12 | Close engine hood lock bottom section (4) manually and unlock from release lever in passenger compartment | ||
13 | Position engine hood lock top section (2) | Align engine hood lock top section (2) in relation to marked engine hood (1) | |
14 | Tighten bolts (3) | ||
15 | Check engine hood fit | If necessary, | |
Adjust engine hood (1) | |||
16 | Check engine hood lock and safety hook for proper function | To do thus, close the engine hood (1), unlock and check engagement on upper frame crossmember. |
