Open engine hood (1)

 See Operator's Manual

Adjust in lateral direction

Loosen bolts (7) on left and right engine hood hinge (6) and adjust engine hood (1) in transverse direction.

Gap dimension between engine hood and fender
dimension "A".

Tighten bolts (7)



Adjust in longitudinal direction

Loosen bolts (5) on left and right engine hood hinge (6) and adjust engine hood (1) in longitudinal direction.

 Adjust engine hood (1) so that engine hood (1) is flush with front fender in longitudinal direction.

Tighten bolts (5)



Adjust height

Remove left and right engine hood catch top section (2)

Check gap dimension of engine hood (1) between headlamps and engine (1) in relation to bumper, if necessary, adjust with stop buffers (8, 9)

Gap dimension between engine hood and headlamp, dimension "B" and engine hood and bumper, dimension "C".

Install left and right engine hood lock top section (2)

Check locking procedure and tension of engine hood (1)

 Engine hood (1) should fall into engine hood catch lower section from a height of 100 to 130 mm (measured above front fender tips) by itself and lock
The closed engine hood (1) should not have play in the area of the upper engine hood catches (2), i.e. should have only slight tension
If necessary, adjust height of lock striker (3) on left and right engine hood lock top section (2) with adjusting nut (4).

Check whether engine hood catch lower section s are locked

 Pull engine hood (1) upward with a jerk,

Release engine hood (1) and check whether retaining hood on upper frame cross member is arrested.

Repair paint damage on bolts
(5, 7) and nuts on stop buffers (8, 9) with touch-up paint pen.
