Wear acid-resistant gloves and clothing and safety glasses with side guards. Do not place any conductive objects on the battery and avoid any short circuit from battery positive to ground. 1 | Disconnect ground lead from battery | Because of the danger of overheating the power supply must not be interrupted as long as the heater is in operation or during the run-on phase. Wait until the power-down phase is over before continuing with removal. | |

4 | Disconnect hose connectors for fuel lines (3, 4) | | |
5 | Remove hose clamps (6) and fuel lines (3, 4) from fuel metering pump (5) | ||
6 | Open clamp bracket (7) and detach fuel metering pump (5) | ||
7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
