Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

 Warning

Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.

When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).

 Installation: The receiver drier must be replaced each time the refrigerant circuit is opened in order to ensure proper operation of the air conditioning system.

Unscrew nut at expansion valve (1)

Remove pressure lines together with retaining plate (2)

 Seal openings in order to prevent soiling.

 Installation: Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil to prevent leaks.

Remove screws (arrows)

 Installation: To prevent tilting, tighten screws alternately.

Detach expansion valve (3)

 Do not damage seal (4). It is only possible to replace the seal (4) after removing the air conditioner housing. Seal openings with suitable stop plugs to prevent foreign objects entering.

 Installation: Replace sealing rings and moisten with compressor oil to prevent leaks.
