Danger!

Risk of explosion from welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning. Inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors may be toxic. Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with liquid refrigerant.

Do not carry out any welding work on the closed air conditioning system or in the surrounding area. No smoking or open flames. Wear eye protection and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.

Drain air conditioning system (recycling), evacuate, fill, inspect for leaks

 When refilling return compressor oil quantity evacuated to air conditioning system



Remove pressure and intake line (10, 11) from expansion valve (1)



 Plug openings (parts kit).

Installation: Replace sealing rings (7, 8) and moisten with compressor oil when installing.

Remove expansion valve (1) from intake and pressure connector for evaporator
(4, 5)



 Plug openings (parts kit).

Installation: Replace sealing rings (2, 6) and moisten with compressor oil when installing.

Install in the reverse order

Replace receiver/drier

When replacing the receiver/drier add the prescribed amount of refrigeration oil.

Switch on the air conditioner and allow the engine to idle for roughly 4 minutes.

 Dial temperature selector wheel down to the minimum setting (blue), set blower switch to max.

Check function of air conditioning

 Air outlet temperature at center nozzle should not drop below +5 ° C , if necessary 

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
