Danger!

Risk of explosion from welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning. Inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors may be toxic. Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with liquid refrigerant.

Do not carry out any welding work on the closed air conditioning system or in the surrounding area. No smoking or open flames. Wear eye protection and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.

Drain air conditioning (recycle)

Disconnect connector (8 ) from refrigerant pressure sensor (B12)

Remove refrigerant pressure sensor (B12) from receiver/drier (1)



 Installation: Moisten thread of refrigerant pressure sensor (B12) with compressor oil.

Remove pressure lines (4, 5) from receiver/drier.

 Plug pressure lines (parts kit).

Installation: Replace sealing rings (3, 6) and moisten with compressor oil when installing.



Remove receiver/drier (1) from radiator

 Plug receiver/drier with plug set.



Install in the reverse order

When replacing the receiver/dryer add the prescribed amount of refrigeration oil.



Switch on the air conditioner and allow the engine to idle for roughly 4 minutes.

 Dial temperature selector wheel down to the minimum setting (blue), blower switch to max.

Check function of air conditioning

 Air outlet temperature at center nozzle should not drop below +5 ° C , if necessary 

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
