 Warning

Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.

When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).

Remove

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m)

Unclip and remove cover (1)

Unscrew nut (2)

Position wiper arm (3) vertically and remove


Carefully handle wiper arm (3) and do not let it fold back in an uncontrolled manner.
Otherwise the hood or wiper blade or windshield will be damaged.



Clean

Clean cone on wiper bearing

Clean cone on wiper arm (3)

If reusing the wiper arm (3).



Install

Position wiper arm (3) with wiper blade on windshield and press wiper arm (3) on the cone of the wiper bearing


Note the wiper arm (A or B) adjustment dimension.
Otherwise the windshield wiper system or body may be damaged.

Tighten nut (2)

 Nut, wiper arm to wiper bearing

Check

Perform function check of windshield washer system and windshield wiper system


