Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.

Open and close Vario roof with Vario roof switch

The hydraulic system can be bled by opening and closing. Keep Vario roof completely closed after bleeding.

Open trunk lid

Remove spare tire cover from trunk

Check oil level (A) on oil reservoir (3) of the RVC [UVS] hydraulic unit (A7/5)

 Vario roof is closed and trunk lid open.

Loosen RVC [UVS] hydraulic unit (A7/5) until oil filler screw (2) is accessible so that hydraulic oil can be refilled.

 Do not disconnect electrical and hydraulic lines.

Correct oil level (A) on oil reservoir (3) of the RVC [UVS] hydraulic unit (A7/5)

 Use only "Aral Vitamol ZH-M" hydraulic oil. When using other hydraulic oil, the hydraulic system of the Vario roof can be damaged.
