Check transition between front door (2) and rear door (1)

 Contour of front door (2) must be aligned with contour of rear door (1) or protrude by max. 1 mm.

Check transition between rear door (1) and C-pillar (3)

 Contour of rear door (1) must be aligned with contour of C-pillar (3) or protrude by max. 1 mm. At the same time, it must be possible to easily close rear door (1).



Remove

Remove lower B-pillar trim from left or right B-pillar

Adjust

Detach screws (4) from lock striker (5)


It must be possible to move lock striker (5) during adjustment process.
Lock striker (5) can otherwise damage door lock when rear door (1) is closed.

Detach nuts (6) from hinges (7) and adjust gap dimensions (M, O) and transition between front door (2) and rear door (1) by moving rear door (1)

Only slightly release nuts (6).
Adjustment of rear door (1) is otherwise made difficult by too much play at contact surfaces of hinges (7).

 Contour of front door (2) must be aligned with contour of rear door (1) or protrude by max. 1 mm.

 Helper required.

Tighten nuts (6)

 Nut, top hinge to rear door

 Nut, lower hinge to rear door

Detach screws (8) and nuts (9) and adjust gap dimensions (N, I) by moving rear door (1)

Adjust transition between rear door (1) and C-pillar (3) by moving lock striker (5)

 Contour of rear door (1) must be aligned with contour of C-pillar (3) or protrude by max. 1 mm. At the same time, it must be possible to easily close rear door (1).

Tighten bolts (4)

 Bolt, lock striker to C-pillar

Touch up paintwork damage to screws (8) and nuts (9)

Install
