Remove inside rearview mirror (A67)

Fold back foam material (12) and disconnect electrical connector (13)

 Installation:
Completely pull foam material (12) over electrical connector (13).
Otherwise noises can occur.

Remove left and right sun visor (2).

Unclip the left and right cover (3) from the headliner (1).

Remove left and right A-pillar paneling (4)

Remove left and right B-pillar paneling (5)

Remove the left and right coat hook (8) and unscrew the bolts below.

Remove left and right C-pillar paneling (6) and lay down to side with installed seat belts

Remove the edge guards (7) from the body flange in the area of the headliner (1).

Press the catch hooks (arrows) together and unclip the headliner (1) from the front roof frame

Push headliner (1) toward rear until guide hooks are unhooked from rear roof frame and lay headliner (1) down on vehicle

 Helper required.

Remove headliner (1) toward front


Do not bend headliner (1) excessively.
Otherwise the headliner (1) can be damaged.

 Helper required.

Make sure that all of the soundproofing on the headliner (1) is properly attached and in good condition.

If the headliner (1) is reused.

If complaint present



Replace the affected soundproofing on the headliner (1).

Prepare new headliner (1) for installation

When replacing roof paneling (1).
