Remove

Insert both extractor clamps (1) as far as they will go into side openings of tachograph (TCO) (P1)

 This releases the catches (3).

Pull tachograph (TCO) (P1) out of equipment installation frame using extractor clamps (1)


When the buffer battery (6) is replaced, it is essential that the vehicle-side power supply remains connected to the tachograph (TCO) (P1).
It will otherwise no longer be possible to put the tachograph (TCO) (P1) into operation.

Remove lead seal (8) and open cover (5) of battery compartment (4)

Remove buffer battery (6) from battery compartment (4) and disconnect electrical connector (7)



Install

Connect electrical connector (7) of new buffer battery (6)

Insert buffer battery (6) into battery compartment (4)

Close cover (5) of battery compartment (4)

Fit new lead seal (8)

Slide tachograph (TCO) (P1) all the way into equipment installation frame

 The locks (3) must engage into the catches (2).
