Risk of fire/risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC.

No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Remove

Remove battery to be charged.

Check

Check condition of battery.

Charging

Connect positive terminal of charger to positive terminal of the battery.



Connect ground terminal of charger to negative terminal of battery.

Charge battery.

 Normal charging: Charging current up to max. 10 % of battery capacity, e.g. max. 6.0 A charging current for a 60 Ah battery.
Rapid charging: Charging current from 10 % to max. 50 % of battery capacity for 30 min, e.g. max. 30 A charging current for a 60 Ah battery.
Follow the operating instructions for the charger.

Disconnect ground clamp of charger from battery.

Disconnect positive terminal of charger from battery.



Install

Install charged battery.
