Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Raise vehicle.

Disconnect electrical connection (2).

Expose electrical wiring harness.

Unscrew union nut on temperature sensor (1) and remove temperature sensor (1).

Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths

 Installation: Apply heat-resistant lubricating paste to thread of union nut on temperature sensor (1).

Install in the reverse order.

Read out and delete fault memory.

If temperature sensor (1) is replaced.



Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check temperature sensor (1) for leaks.
