 Only with model 930, 932, 933, 934, 957.

 Danger!

Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted

Ensure that no one is within tilting range of cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt cab all the way to end position and secure with safety strut.

 Remove plate if required.

Detach hose (11) at muffler (7)

 Only on model 374, 375, 930, 932, 933, 934, 940, 942, 943, 944, 958.

 Installation: Check hose (11) and replace if necessary.

Unscrew bolts (10) and increase the gap at the carrier (9) using a suitable tool

Unscrew bolts on muffler (7) and on carrier (12) or frame bracket

Support muffler (7) with a vehicle jack and pull out

Detach exhaust pipe at muffler (7)

 Only on model 374, 375, 940, 942, 943, 944, 958 if the muffler (7) is replaced.



Remove rubber bumper (8)

Vehicles with code (CB8) Aerodynamic side panelings if the muffler (7) is replaced.

 Installation: Check plug-in captive nuts, replace if required.

Detach side guard plate (4)

Vehicles without code (CB8) Aerodynamic side panelings if the muffler (7) is replaced.

 Installation: Check plug-in captive nuts, replace if required.

Detach upper guard plate (3)

 Only when installing new muffler (7).

 Installation: Check plug-in captive nuts, replace if required.

Install in the reverse order

 Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
