Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Switch off the ignition and keep the transmitter key outside the transmitter range (at minimum   2m).

Raise vehicle.

Remove underfloor paneling at left.

Model 907.1/2/6 with code XM1 (Noise abatement measures)

 Installation: Install left underfloor paneling only after the leak test.

Release and disconnect the electrical connector (2).

Clean fuel hoses (3) in area of separation points.

Release, remove fuel hoses (3) at connection fittings and collect escaping fuel using absorbent rags.

Seal openings at fuel hoses (3) with suitable stop plugs.

Remove screws (4).

 Screw/bolt, fuel filter housing to bracket

Release catch hook (arrow A) and remove fuel filter housing (1) from bracket (5) downwards.

 Installation: Insert fuel filter housing (1) into bracket (5) (arrows B) and lock catch hook (arrow A).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Switch on ignition.


Before the engine is started, leave the ignition switched on up until the end of delivery from the fuel pump so that fuel is present at the high-pressure fuel pump when the engine is started.
Fuel system will otherwise be damaged.

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check leak tightness of fuel system.
