Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove/install

Empty the fuel tank.

Remove fuel filler flap.

Remove screw/bolt (1).

Raise vehicle.

Remove cover (2).

 Installation: Check the cover (2) for damage.

Depending on the findings,



Replace damaged cover (2).

Disconnect bleed line (3) at separating point (4).

 Seal connections using suitable stop plugs.
Collect escaping fuel.

Disconnect bleed line (5) at separating point (6).

 Seal connections using suitable stop plugs.

 Record plug

Release clamp (7).

 It must be possible to move clamp (7).

Remove filler neck (9) from hose (8).

 Seal connections using suitable stop plugs.
Collect escaping fuel.

 Installation: Replace hose (8).

Remove filler neck (9).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check fuel system for leak tightness with engine running.
