Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

 Secure the fuel tank(1) against falling down.

Remove retaining brackets (6).

 To do this, remove bolts (7).

 Installation: Reposition the shims of the retaining brackets (6) in their previous installation position.

Lower fuel tank (1).

 Bleed line (10) and electrical connectors (8, 9) must be accessible.

Release and disconnect electrical connectors (8, 9).

Disconnect bleed line (10).

Disconnect electrical connector for ground line at filler neck.

Lower fuel tank (1) and remove.

Transfer fuel delivery module and lines at fuel tank (1).

When replacing the fuel tank (1).

Install in the reverse order.



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check fuel system for leak tightness with engine running.
