Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove aspirator hose (7)

On model 906

Remove poly-V belt

 Only remove poly-V belt from the belt pulley (4).

Extract steering oil from reservoir (1)

 Hand pump

Detach steering oil return line (2) from the power steering pump (42)

 Seal steering oil return pressure line (2) with suitable  stop plugs.

 Set of stop plugs

 Installation: Install new O-ring.

Detach steering oil pressure line (3) from power steering pump (42)

 Seal steering oil pressure line (3) with suitable  stop plugs.

 Set of stop plugs

 Installation: Install new O-ring.

Unscrew bolts (6) and remove power steering pump (42)

Remove bolts (5) and detach belt pulley (4)

 Only when installing new power steering pump (42).
