Fill reservoir up to approx. 10 mm below top edge

The power steering pump must never be allowed to draw in air otherwise the function of the steering will be impaired.

Check sealing ring on closing cap, renew if necessary.

MB steering gear oil

Bleeding

Start engine 2-3 times and check steering gear oil level immediately, top up if necessary

The steering system bleeds itself automatically.

Turn the steering from lock to lock several times with the engine running, in between topping up with MB steering gear oil if necessary

Check and correct power steering fluid level

Inspect

Check steering system for leaks

If there are leaks, find cause and correct.
